Professional Pilot and Aviation Management Minors

OSU maintains one of the leading aviation and space education programs in the country, on the Stillwater campus. Students wishing to supplement their BSAE with flight training should contact both their advisor, and the AVED department as early in their program as possible.

NOTE: Students must meet with the departmental advisor completing the "Intent to pursue the minor" as early in the program as possible. Check with the AVED department for changes to the above courses. Minors will be signed off by the AVED department and noted on the transcript upon completion of the BSAE degree.

The Professional Pilot Minor requires a minimum of 24 hours consisting of the following:

AVED 1114: Theory of Flight

AVED 1222: Primary Flight Lab

AVED 2122: Commercial Flight Lab I

AVED 2132: Commercial Flight Lab II

AVED 2142: Commercial Flight Lab III

AVED 2213: Theory of Instrument Flight

AVED 2313: Theory of Commercial

AVED 4113: Aviation Safety

AVED 4303: Aviation Weather

NOTE: Students must meet with the departmental advisor and complete the “Intent to pursue the minor.”
