What is Mechanical
Engineering? |
|
Mechanical engineering is the branch of
engineering that deals with the creation and
operation of objects and machines. It is
the broadest of all engineering fields, and
is the engineering "jack-of-all-trades."
Mechanical engineers use principles such
as thermodynamics, kinematics, and
dynamics, and the conservations of mass and
energy to analyze static and dynamic
physical systems, in contributing to the
design of things such as automobiles,
robots, heating and cooling systems,
household appliances, industrial equipment
and machinery, weapons systems, and almost
anything else you could think of! |
